Welcome to the South West Michigan High School Hockey League website - our organization is celebrating 35 years of High School hockey.

The SWMHSHL started in 1972 as club teams and skated at the open rink on Lake Street. Three years later, the league represented the varsity teams throughout Kalamazoo and surrounding areas.

Today SWMHSHL has six member teams: the Kalamazoo Blades, the Kalamazoo Eagles, Kalamazoo United (comprised of players from Loy Norrix, Kalamazoo Central, and Kalamazoo Hackett), Mattawan, Portage Northern and Portage Central.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the numerous volunteers both past and present for giving their time and talents to keep our league going.
